General Information Toblach (Italian: Dobbiaco; Archaic (827 AD): Duplago; Archaic (893 AD): Doublach; Archaic (1020 AD): Toblach; Latin: Duplagum) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located in the Val Pusteria about 110 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 70 km northeast of the city of Bolzano, on the border with Austria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,292 and an area of 126.6 km².[1]

Toblach borders the following municipalities: Gsies, Innichen, Niederdorf, Prags, Auronzo di Cadore, Cortina d'Ampezzo and Innervillgraten (Austria).
